Avalokiteshvara-4-armed-2_transparentEveryone is welcome to the annual Western Canada Dharma Celebration (WCDC) where people from Western Canada gather for a weekend of empowerment, teachings, meditations, and the good company of spiritual friends.

This annual event was established by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the founder of the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU). All profits from the event go to the International Temples Project (ITP) fund, dedicated to public benefit.

Open to everyone, the Western Canada Dharma Celebration is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a spiritual break with like-minded people from across our region. During the celebration Gen-la Kelsang Kyhenrab will grant the empowerment of Buddha Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of compassion. This empowerment is a blissful guided meditation that awakens our potential for universal love and compassion.

Gen-la Khyenrab wil then teach the transference of consciousness (powa) whereby with the blessings of Budha Avalokiteshvara we can help the recently deceased, the dying and ourself to go to a Pure Land where there is only pace and happiness.

The Celebration will be held at the Pacific Inn Resort, 1160 King George Boulevard, White Rock/Surrey BC:  Located just 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver, 20 minutes from YVR, 15 minutes from Bellingham, and 5 minutes from the US border.
